Animal Osteopathy

Osteopathic treatment of horses

It is not only humans who suffer from structural problems - complaints in animals can often be treated with osteopathy, too. Treatment may involve gentle muscular work, stretches, joint mobilisation and, sometimes, manipulation.

Equine Osteopathy

Horses are often trained with the same intensity as a human athlete, so it should come as no surprise that they too suffer from structural imbalances.

Here are just a few of the things you might notice in your horse:

  • Unusual behaviour patterns
  • A tendency to go better on one rein than the other
  • A reluctance to extend
  • Unexplained unlevelness
  • Back pain

Osteopathic treatment can deal with these and a host of other problems without recourse to drugs.
