Vet's Permission

It is an offence in British law for any practitioner to treat another person's animal without the permission of a vet. Any practitioner doing so is uninsured.

But talking to the vet is not just about keeping within the law. Osteopaths have extensive medical training and your vet is able to provide valuable information on your animal's medical history, including relevant scans or X-Ray findings.

To ensure that we provide you and your animal with the best possible service, we will always contact your vet before the first appointment.

It is therefore helpful if you have your vet's telephone number to hand when calling about treatment - most vets are well aware of the benefits of osteopathy and are happy to give their approval.
